The purpose of the study was to identify the factors on Gatekeeper behavior of adolescents for suicide prevention. The participants were five high school students from D metropolitan city. The collected data were analysed using t-test, ANOVA, Multiple regression with SPSS 21.0 program. In the results of the study, Gatekeeper behavior showed significant difference by gender(t=2.85, p=.005), type of school(t=-2.81, p=.006), experience of significant others’ suicide(t=-2.09, p=.038). Gatekeeper behavior had a positive relationship with the perception toward suicide prevention(r=.23, p=.006) and the knowledge about suicide prevention(r=.42, p<.001). In regression analysis, significant influencing factors on Gatekeeper behavior were the perception toward suicide prevention (β=.20, p=.006) and the knowledge about suicide prevention(β=.35, p<.001), and these variables showed 24.3% of variance. Therefore, it need to develop the intervention for improving positive perception and active knowledge about suicide prevention in adolescents. In addition, future study to identify various predictable variables is needed.

본 연구의 목적은 청소년 자살예방을 위한 게이트키퍼 행동 영향요인을 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상 자는 D 광역시 소재 5개 고등학교에 재학 중인 남녀 학생이다. 수집된 자료의 분석은 SPSS 21.0 program을 이용 하여 서술통계, t-test, ANOVA, Multiple regression을 수행하였다. 본 연구결과, 대상자의 게이트키퍼 행동은 성 별(t=2.85, p=.005), 학교유형(t=-2.81, p=.006), 가족이나 친구의 자살경험 여부(t=-2.09, p=.038)에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 자살예방에 대한 인식(r=.23, p=.006) 및 지식(r=.42, p<.001)과 유의한 상관관계가 나타 났다. 회귀분석결과, 자살예방에 대한 인식(β=.20, p=.006)과 지식(β=.35, p<.001)이 게이트키퍼 행동에 유의한 영향 요인으로 나타났으며, 이들 변수는 게이트키퍼 행동에 대해 총 24.3%를 설명하였다. 따라서 본 연구결과를 토대로 청소년을 대상으로 자살예방에 대한 긍정적 인식과 지식 향상을 제공할 수 있는 중재 개발을 제언한다. 또한 추후 청소년의 자살예방을 위한 게이트키퍼 행동을 예측할 수 있는 다양한 변수를 확인할 수 있는 연구가 필요하다.
