This study was designed the purpose to find solutions to promote their social competence by analyzing the mediation effects of human rights sensitivity in the relation between violence experiences of the growth period and social competence while at university followed by improving the human rights sensitivity. In this study, were distributed to students from 15 universities located in Busan Metropolitan City. 764 of the respondents had experienced violence in the period of growth, and their questionnaires were only used for analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, child abuses including physical assault and neglect as well as school violence experience either as a victim or an offender would have effects on human rights sensitivity. Second, offense of school violence, participation as an offender and experience as a violence victim during the growth period would influence social competence while at university. Third, perceptions of situation and responsibility would affect the relation between human rights sensitivity and social competence. Lastly, human rights sensitivity would have mediation effects on the relation between violence experiences during their growth period and social competence while at university. Based on the results, I would suggest political and practical plans to promote human rights sensitivity and social competence of university students who had experienced violence during their growth period.

본 연구는 성장기 폭력경험이 대학생의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향관계에서 인권감수성의 매개효과를 분석하고자 설계되었다. 이를 통해 성장기 폭력경험이 있는 대학생이라 하더라도 인권감수성을 확장함으로써 사회적 유능성을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 부산광역시 소재 15개 대학의 대학생들을 대상으로 조사한 764명의 설문지를 분석에 사용하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성장기 폭력경험이 인권감수성에 미치는 영향에서 아동학대에서는 신체학대와 방관경험이, 학교폭력에서는 가해동조, 피해동조경험이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성장기 폭력경험이 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 학교폭력 가해, 가해동조, 피해경험이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 인권감수성이 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 상황지각과 책임지각이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 성장기 폭력경험이 대학생의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 인권감수성은 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 인권감수성과 사회적 유능성을 확보하기 위한 정책적, 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.
