On the space structure of ways and places of well preserved traditional village, we can clarify significant meaning and sound relationship between physical space structure and social relation between residents. Every resident has his own images about village space structure by the way of recognition, and social meanings of ways and places of villages can be clarified by analyzing resident's cognitive representation of their memories about village spaces structures. In this study, 48 cognitive maps of space structure drawn by residents of three well preserved Chinese traditional villages at Nanxijiang in Zhejiang province - Cangpocun, Yantoucun and Fulongcun - were gathered and appearance frequency and numbers of places and ways on these cognitive maps were analysed. As a conclusion, It were presented that higher appearance frequency of places on cognitive maps relating to a higher accessability and connectivity between places and the main streets of villages and total number of places and ways strongly relating to various social relationship between residents and community activities, while difference of using texts and figures on cognitive maps monotonically relating to difference of total number of appearance frequency. The assumption that the total number of appearance frequency of each village is the function of interaction between social relationship between residents and space structure of village should be identified with further research.

중국 절강성 남계강 유역은 건강한 공동체와 온전한 마을의 공간구조가 남아 있는 천년역사의 마을이 많이 분포되어 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 마을 내 길과 장소들에 대하여 주민들이 가지고 있는 마을의 사회적 공간으로서의 의미를 분석하고자 하였다. 마을주민들의 인지도에 나타난 길과 장소들의 빈도를 분석하여 마을 간의 공간인지 경향의 차이를 밝히고 공간구조와 관계를 추론하였다. 마을의 주요 장소들이 중심가로와 연결되어 접근성이 좋은 경우에는 장소가 인지도에 표현되는 빈도가 높게 나타나는 경향이 있으나 전체적인 빈도수는 마을의 공간구조와 무관하게 주민들의 다양한 사회적 관계에 따라서 달리 나타날 수 있으며, 문자와 그림의 상대적인 표현빈도도 마을의 규모나 공간구조와 상관없이 전체적인 표현의 양과 관련되는 것으로 추론할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 오래된 마을의 공간구조는 주민들의 사회적 관계에 영향을 주고 주민의 공간인지에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.
