The purpose of this study is to select new housing sites in Cheongju city which have been developed in recent 5 years and to analyze comparatively the livability of them. In this study, the analysis on the livability conducted in the respect of human accessibility in urban structure. Space Syntax methodology is well-known for analysis of urban structure in the respect of human behavior, thus this methodology was applied to this study. First, the study began with reviewing terms of ‘livability’ and previous studies. Second, facility criteria based on the regulation of urban planning facilities were defined to check how livable the newly developed housing sites. In order to measure the accessibility of each housing site, integration, choice value, and PD were mainly used. Third, we calculated the accessibility level of each facility from the housing sites. Finally, we checked the validity of the planning strategies of Cheongju city through the analysis results and discussed the meaning of this study.

본 연구는 최근 5년 내에 건설되었거나 현재 건설중에 있는 택지개발지구들을 선정하고, 이들 택지개발지구들의 거주적합성을 비교분석하여 각각의 택지개발지구들이 청주시의 질적 성장에 얼마나 기여하고 있는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 거주적합성 분석을 도시공간구조적 차원에서 접근하도록 한다. 공간구문론의 연구방법론이 인간행태에 입각한 도시공간구조 분석에 탁월한 것으로 잘 알려져 있으므로, 이 방법론을 활용하도록 한다. 먼저, 거주적합성 개념 및 선행연구 검토 후 도시계획시설 설치기준 관련 규정을 참조하여 택지사례들을 검토하는 기준을 수립한다. 도시구조에서 접근성 측정을 위해 통합도, 선정도, PD 지표를 사용한다. 결과적으로 도시계힉시설의 접근성 수준을 분석하였고, 분석결과와 그 의미를 논의하여 계획 수립 시 계획 방향의 타당성 근거로 활용하도록 제시하였다.
