The aim of this study was to identify school violence to the concept of trauma and to understand school violence as the post-traumatic stress symptoms(PTSD) reaction, also to provide a therapeutic implications for school violence through the concept of trauma treatment and post-traumatic growth(PTG). To this end, in this study we first, examined the concept and the features of school violence and psychological characteristics of school violence experienced students. Second, in this study we examined the concept and the features of PTSD, the concept of complex PTSD that are distinct from simple PTSD. Third, we examined the level of PTSD diagnosis according to the period of school violence and the relationship between traumatic experiences before and after school violence and school violence. Fourth, we introduced a method of school violence trauma treatment based on interpersonal therapy and trauma therapy as a way of treatment of school violence. Fifth, we introduced the concept of post-traumatic grow(PTG) and provided real intervention of making growth beyond treatment after school violence. Finally, we presented the implications and limitations of this study, and the role of teachers for understanding and coping with traumatic injury of school violence in school.

본 연구는 학교폭력을 외상의 개념으로 파악하고 학교폭력 피해 증상을 외상후 스트레스 장애(PTSD) 증상을 중심으로 이해하고자 하였다. 또한 외상 치료와 외상 후 성장(PTG)의 개념을 통해 학교폭력 피해 치료에 함의를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 첫째, 학교폭력의 개념, 특징, 학교폭력 경험학생의 심리적 특성을 살펴보았다. 둘째, PTSD의 개념과 특징을 살펴보고 단순 PTSD와는 구별되는 복합 PTSD의 개념에 대해 살펴보았다. 셋째, 학교폭력 피해자의 피해기간에 따른 PTSD 진단 수준, 학교폭력 전후의 외상 경험과 학교폭력의 관계에 대해 살펴보았다. 넷째, 학교폭력 치료의 한 가지 방법으로 외상 치료와 대인관계적 치료 방법을 기반으로 한 학교폭력의 외상 치료 방법을 소개하였다. 다섯째, 외상 후 성장 개념을 소개하고 학교폭력 이후 치료를 넘어 성장이 일어나는 개입의 실제를 제시하였다. 끝으로, 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 학교현장에서 학교폭력 외상피해의 이해와 대처를 위해 위한 교사의 역할을 제시하였다.
