This thesis studies aspect of the value construction for public office though discourse in Korean folk-tale. Though this, this thesis studies meaning mechanism of public office as value-object. In conclusion, this thesis provides reflection on meaning of 'performance of public office'. A object we cognize has meaning of value-object as well as function-object. And the meaning of value-object is social reality constructed by interaction of community. This thesis studies meaning of public office as value-object from this premise. For this, we consider narrative structure about 'getting public office', separating aspect of modal regulation and act regulation. Though this aspect, we find some repetitive dicourse pattern. And then, we consider the Confucianism cognitive system enable repetitive dicourse pattern In conclusion, this thesis finds public office has the meaning of value-object about 'formation of relationship for other' and 'self-cultivation of usual life as a sincere attitude' as well as job of public business. Like this, pubic office is cognized as double meaning sign by the Confucianism cognitive system. So, for foregoer, 'performance of public office' signifies not only a faithful performance of function but also 'self-cultivation of usual life as a sincere attitude' and 'formation of relationship for other' not dogmatism.
