This paper discusses Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s theistic vision, which is deeply embedded in his thought, and focuses on his unique understanding on the nature of relationships among various religions in the context of theology of religion. On the one hand, his view on religions takes a form that is similar with God-centered pluralism in terms of various roads leading to the same mountain top. On the other hand, however, he implies that a religion that has reached closely to the top can lead and embrace other religions, which is obviously the aspect of inclusivism. Beyond this, because the mountain he suggests is the one whose summit becomes infinitely horizontal as people climb up, his views also ascertain the possibility to overcome the limitation of inclusivism. Rev. Moon’s God is far from an unknowable God, as indicated in God-centered pluralism. His God is the one who resonates with our heart, the ground of intellect, emotion, and will, more closely and intimately than anyone else, including ourselves. Rev. Moon identifies the shape of such a God-centered heart with the shape of the heart in a parent-child relationship. Only in such a world where various religions share a family oriented heart, centering on God as a parent, could there emerge a context in which pluralism and Unificationism can be compatible and coexist peacefully with one another.

본 논문은 문선명 선생의 사상 속에 깊이 내재되어 있는 신관을 종교신학적 맥락에서 조명해보 고, 이를 통해 그의 종교관이 다양한 종교 간의 관계를 어떻게 이해하고 있는 가를 알아보는데 초점 을 맞추고 있다. 선생의 종교관은 하나의 산 정상을 향하는 다양한 길이라는 신 중심적 다원주의의 구조를 취하면서도 산 정상에 먼저 도달한 종교가 다른 종교들의 길을 연결하고 포용할 수 있다는 포괄주의적 양상을 함께 아우르고 있다. 하지만 그 산은 정상으로 올라갈수록 오히려 평평해지는 산으로서 포괄주의의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 모델을 제시한다. 문선명 선생의 하나님은 신 중심 다원주의자들이 주장하는 것처럼 인간의 인식이 닿을 수 없는, 신비적, 직관적 경험으로만 체험될 수 있는 초월적 존재가 아니라, 인간의 지(知)･정(情)･의(意) 의 뿌리가 되는 심정(心情)에서 그 누구보다도 가깝고 친밀하게 공명됨으로써 인간의 총체적 의 식과 행동의 목적과 방향을 일깨우는 존재다. 선생은 이러한 심정의 꼴을 ‘부모와 자식’ 간의 관계 에서 형성되는 그것임을 천명하고 하나님을 인류의 ‘부모’로서 드러낸다. 이렇게 부모이신 하나님 을 중심으로 종교들이 형제로서의 심정적 유대 관계를 맺어가는 세계 안에서는 다원주의와 통일 주의가 서로 양립, 공존할 수 있는 맥락을 만들어낸다.
