The purpose of this study is to analyze how entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation effect Korean defense industries’ corporate performance. Study results from empirical analysis based on 149 questionnaires collected from defense industries are as follows. First, only innovativeness in entrepreneurial orientation has positive effects on corporate performance. Second, it was confirmed that learning orientation in itself brought a relevant outcome to corporate performance. Based on the analysis results, this study suggests Korean defense industries to establish corporate strategies to enhance innovativeness in entrepreneurial orientation and learning orientation in order to improve corporate performance.

본 연구는 한국 방위산업체의 기업성과에 기업가지향성과 학습지향성이라는 두 가지의 전략적 지향성이 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 방위산업체들로부터 회수한 설문지를 토대로 실증적 분석을 한 결과 첫째, 기업가지향성 중 진취성만이 기업 성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤고 둘째, 학습지향성은 그 자체로 기업성과에 유의미한 결과를 가져올 수 있음이 확인되었다. 이러한 분석 결과에 따라 본 연구에서는 한국 방위산업체가 기업성과를 제고하기 위해 기업가지향성 중 진취성, 그리고 학습지향성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 기업 전략을 수립할 것을 제안하고 있다.
