Although the number of retired teachers, e.g., voluntary retirement, regular retirement increases these days due to the commencement of aging society, there are not many methods to make use of their expertise for society. This study utilized the method through analysis of preceding study to investigate the applicability of social enterprise in the area of education by utilizing the expertise of retired teacher. The preceding study related to utilization of the retired teacher presented the main study result by dividing it into requirement analysis of instruction on preparing for retirement, the program to develop the career of retired teachers, the case on utilization of retired teacher. By generalizing such result, the suggestion given to operation of social enterprise in the area of education was presented as follows. First, it is found that number of social enterprise in the area of education in which retired teachers participated was nearly 0. Although the re-socialization of retired teachers and request for their participation in social activity is strong, preparation instruction for them is insufficient and the entity which systematically manages and operates career development is not clear. Second, although there is another case where retired teachers are utilized, there is no official communication channel and it is mainly limited to infant education. Third, the social enterprise that utilizes retired teacher should be operated by being connected to institution that is in charge of developing their career and instructing them to prepare for retirement. Fourth, the social enterprise that utilizes retired teacher can be operated in diverse forms of business such as social enterprise in charge of only preparatory education and re-education program of experts, social enterprise of dispatch after re-educating expertise (case on the after school hours school), social enterprise(connected to KOICA) specialized in overseas dispatch, social enterprise of special consulting in the area of education, social enterprise of operating consigned program of education office, etc. Fifth, according the result of analyzing the request of existing retired teachers, qualitative management of the social enterprise is necessary to provide those teachers with remuneration an treatment commensurate with social activity in which they participate after retirement.

본 연구는, 최근 고령화사회가 시작되면서 명예퇴직, 정년퇴직 등 퇴직교원 의 수가 늘어나고 있으나 이들의 전문성을 사회로 환원할 수 있는 방안이 많 지 않았다는 문제의식 하에서 퇴직교원의 전문성 활용을 통한 교육분야 사회 적기업의 적용 가능성을 탐색적 차원에서 제시하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었 다. 퇴직교원 활용과 관련된 기존의 선행연구는 퇴직교원들의 퇴직준비교육 에 대한 요구분석, 퇴직교원의 경력개발 프로그램, 퇴직교원 활용 사례 등으 로 구분하여 주요 연구결과를 제시하였다. 주요 연구결과 및 교육분야 사회 적기업 운영에 주는 시사점을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 교육분야 사회 적기업에서 전문 퇴직교원이 참여하는 기업은 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 퇴직교원들의 재사회화 및 사회활동 참여에 대한 요구는 높으나 이들을 위한 준비교육도 부족한데다가 경력개발을 체계적으로 관리하고 운영하는 주체가 불분명하다. 둘째, 퇴직교원을 활용하는 다른 사례가 있으나 공식적 의사소통 채널이 없고 주로 유아교육에 한정되고 있다. 퇴직교원 활용을 위한 다양한 경로가 필요하다. 셋째, 퇴직교원을 활용한 사회적기업은 이들의 경력개발 및 퇴직준비교육을 담당하는 기관과 연계하여 운영되어야 한다. 넷째, 퇴직교원 을 활용한 사회적기업은 전문인 준비교육 및 재교육프로그램만 담당하는 사 회적기업, 전문성 재교육 후 파견(방과후학교 사례) 사회적기업, 해외파견 전문 사회적기업(KOICA 등 연계), 교육분야 전문컨설팅 사회적기업, 교육청 위탁 프로그램 운영 사회적기업 등 다양한 형태의 사업내용으로 운 영이 가능 하다. 다섯째, 기존 퇴직교원들의 요구분석 결과에 의하면, 교원들은 퇴직 후 참여하는 사회 활동에 자신들의 전문성에 걸맞는 보수와 대우를 제공해야 하 므로 사회적기업의 질 관리가 필요하다.
