The agricultural development project which began with Saemaeul Movement as its starting point has changed color landscape in farming and fishing villages significantly along with rapid industrialization and urbanization. The general town development project being promoted to maintain living environment in farming area has raised agritourism as a new income source focusing more on profit businesses rather than improving dwelling environment in it. As the value of scenery in farming area differentiated from that of the city is newly highlighted, laws related with preserving and maintaining agricultural landscape is institutionalized. Agricultural society is being transformed with regard to the increase of aged population, increase of those returning to farming or rural area, or strengthening of functions in the agricultural settlement zone. There is more and more nationwide demand on improving agricultural dwelling environment in a safer and more eco-friendly way. Primary colors from artificial landscape factors in farming area or the exterior of structures with no identity is the hindrance factor that makes the residents or visitors feel stressful. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to improve environment in farming area by figuring out the problems of colors in it and so on. Landscape plans of various regions are set up focusing on urban, rather than rural, areas. Many previous studies were also conducted on urban environment. Further, studies on rural landscape were conducted with various color elements. Thus, this study analyzes the current state of color directions in regional landscape plans. It will derive color management elements for color landscape of rural villages, by analyzing color elements covered in recent studies, through previous studies.

인구 고령화 심화, 귀농·귀촌인 증대, 농촌정주생활권의 기능 강화 등에 대한 농촌 사회 변화하고 있다. 안전하고 친환경적인 농촌지역 거주환경 개선에 대한 범국민적 요구가 확대되고 있다. 농어촌 정주여건 개선을 위한 활발한 움직임 속에서 보다 지역 특성에 맞는 경관계획과 공공디자인을 결합한 통합적인 농촌마을 거주환경 개선 기술에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 농촌마을의 인공경관요소의 원색계열 색채와 정체성 없는 건축물 외관이 주민 및 내방객의 스트레스를 가중시키는 저해요인이다. 이와 같이 농촌마을 색채의 문제점을 파악하는 등 농촌마을 환경 개선의 필요성이 시급하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 선행연구를 통하여 최근 진행된 연구에서 다루고 있는 색채대상요소를 분석한다. 특별광역시와 도, 군에서 계획하고 있는 색채 방향을 농어촌 경관계획 수립요령과 분석하여 앞으로의 농촌마을 색채경관의 연구 방향을 찾고자 한다.
