The “SanGuoZhi” Culture in China have very special meaning. The important part of the “SanGuoZhi” Culture is the GuanYu Culture. The special present of the GuanYu Culture is the worship of GuanYu. Today this present of the GuanYu worship was changed into the cultural phenomena in china and all of the world chinese area. That is called a cultural phenomena of the GuanYu worship. So many facts of the GuanYu worship is closely related to 『SanGuoYanYi』. The image of GuanYu worship is characterized in the novel 『SanGuoYanYi』. 『SanGuoYanYi』 is one of the vary famous novel in the china classical literature. This 『SanGuoYanYi』 is based on 『SanGuoZhiPIngHua』 of Yuan dynasty. 『SanGuoYanYi』 is closely related to 『SanGuoZhiPIngHua』 in the process of fictionalization. So many literary skill of the 『SanGuoYanYi』is closely related to 『SanGuoZhiPIngHua』. 『SanGuoZhiPIngHua』 have many special meaning in the process of the imagery of GuanYu in the 『SanGuoYanYi』. Today this present of the GuanYu worship was changed into the cultural phenomena in china and all of the world chinese area. That is called a cultural phenomena of the GuanYu worship. We believe that the comprehensive understanding about the imagery of GuanYu in the 『SanGuoYanYi』 will bring us the right direction to understanding of the “GuanYu Culture” in China.

중국에서 관우는 죽은 후부터 민간에서는 물론이고 통치계층에게도 여러 요인에 의해 나날이 추존되어지면서 인기가 높아져 오늘날에는 신으로 모셔지고 있다. 송원대에 이미 관우는 민간에서 이상적 인물로 그 틀이 조성되어 있었다. 역사 속의 인물이 민간 기예와 문화를 거쳐 본격적으로 문학의 영역으로 들어오면서 변모하였다. 특히 관우와 관련된 여러 이야기가 정리되어 완성되어진 『삼국연의』에 이르러서는 완전히 새로운 인물 형상을 갖추게 된다. 민간에서 문인의 손에 들어가면서 예술적 형상이 이루어져 완벽한 인물형상이 창출되었다. 본고에서는 민간문학에서의 이상적 관우형상이 『삼국연의』에서 어떠한 기법으로 어떻게 완벽한 이상적 인물형상으로 창조되어졌는지를 『삼국연의』 탄생에 가장 큰 영향을 끼친 『삼국지평화(三國志平話)』를 중심으로 비교하여 살펴보고 나아가 후일 관우숭배 문화현상에 미친 영향을 고찰해보았다.
