Verification of Pedagogical Content Knowledge Differences of Tennis Instructors Perceived by the Sport for All Tennis Club Members
The purpose of this study is to verify the Pedagogical Content Knowledge differences of tennis instructors perceived by the sport for all tennis club members. To accomplish the study purpose, this study used valid samples of 380 persons for data analysis, using the convenience sampling, targeting tennis club members who were of the Korea Tennis Federation of Sport for All in Seoul, Gyeonggi, as of 2014 and who had experience of participating in tennis classes of more than 6 months. Using the SPSS Ver. 21.0 Window Program, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, ttest and oneway ANOVA were conducted to analyze the collected data. The following are the results: first, according to gender, knowledge of instructional objective and knowledge of instructional content were significantly different, and the men’s level was higher than women’s; second, according to age, knowledge of instructional content of instructors in their 20s was higher than those in their 40s, 30s and 50s or more, and knowledge of instructional strategic of instructors in their 20s was higher than those in their 30s, 40s and 50s or more; third, according to the educational background, knowledge of instructional content of high school graduates or under was higher than that of junior college graduates, and knowledge of instructional strategic of high school graduates or under was higher than that of college graduate or above or of junior college graduates; fourth, according to experience of lesson, knowledge of instructional content of instructors with more than 5 years experience was higher than that of those with experience between 6 months and a year; fifth, according to the level of athletic performance, in the knowledge of students understanding, ‘high’ was higher than ‘medium’ and ‘low’, and in the knowledge of instructional strategic, ‘high’ was higher than ‘medium.’
