The need to efficiently manage school accounting employees who are assigned to educational institution is growing. This study generally considered the enactment of local ordinance relevant to position‧employment, the present status by institution and by occupational category, the payment system & and the major operating issue as for the actual condition of managing the school accounting employees. As a result of this study, the school accountancy is mostly changed into the non-fixed term labor. Hence, the problem caused by contract renewal seems to be likely solved a little. However, the problems such as the present status of arrangement by occupational category and the pay system are emerging as the matters that will need to be solved continually. Even the issues such as the employment instability according to the insufficiency of a legal ground, the deviation by city and by province in school accounting employees' salary, and the efficiency in manpower control were indicated to be raised on and on. To solve these problems, this study suggested the improvement methods such as arranging a legal ground for employment stability in school accountancy & reinforcing a role in the local office of education, establishing a cooperation model between educational institutions for managing school accounting employees, improving the deviation in manpower of being assigned to school accountancy between the Offices of Education, offering the systematic educational training, enhancing the personnel-expense burden & the payment system, and applying the evaluation in the dimension of the central government.

교육기관에 배치된 학교회계직 운영의 효율적 관리 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서 는 무기계약직으로 전환된 학교회계직 운용 실태를 직‧고용 관련 조례제정, 기관별‧직종별 배치 현황, 보수체계 및 주요 운용 쟁점 등을 종합적으로 고찰하였다. 본 연구결과, 학교회 계직은 대부분 무기계약직으로 전환되어 계약 갱신에 따른 문제는 다소 해결될 것으로 보인 다. 그러나 직종별 배치 현황 및 보수체계 등의 문제점은 계속적으로 해결되어야 할 사항으 로 대두되고 있으며, 법적근거 미흡에 따른 고용의 불안정성, 학교회계직 보수의 시‧도별 편 차, 인력관리 효율화 등의 쟁점 또한 지속적으로 제기되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 문 제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 학교회계직 고용 안정화를 위한 법적근거 마련 및 교육 청 역할 강화, 학교회계직 운용을 위한 교육기관간 협력모델 구축, 교육청간 학교회계직 배 치인력 편차 개선, 체계적 교육훈련 제공, 인건비 부담체계 및 보수체계 개선, 중앙정부 차 원의 평가 활용 등의 개선방안을 제시하였다.
