A development of railroad industry due to Korean Bullet Train(KTX) has significant influences on national and regional economic development. Hence, this paper studies on structural changes of railroad industry focusing on KTX and derives strategies to promote regional economies. For these purposes, network analysis was applied by utilizing Input-Output Tables of 2005-2010. Our research summary is as follows; First, the changes of railroad industrial structure of 2010 are not significantly different from those of 2005 when a traditional Input-Output analysis is applied. However, we could find there are some significant differences in changes of railroad industrial structure including KTX sector when network analysis is applied. Finally, we suggest industrial strategies of local economic development utilizing results of this research.

고속철도(KTX) 개통에 따른 철도산업발전은 국민경제 및 지역경제활성화에 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구는 KTX부문을 중심으로 철도산업의 구조변화를 파악하고, 철도산업 구조변화에 대한 지역경제발전전략을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 위하여 2005년과 2010년도 산업연관표를 이용하여 산업연관분석방법과 최근 경제 및 경영학계에서 연구되고 있는 네트워크분석방법을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저 기존 산업연관분석에 따른 철도산업의 구조변화는 2005년도에 비하여 2010년도의 산업구조변화에 큰 차이가 발견되지 않았다. 하지만, 네트워크분석방법을 적용할 경우에는 KTX부문을 비롯한 철도산업구조변화의 다양한 차이점을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 철도산업구조변화에 대한 비교분석결과를 활용하여 지역경제발전에 대한 간단한 전략적 방향을 제시하였다.
