The purpose of this study is to provide baseline data for development of senior citizen'sdepression reduce program by art therapy through request investigation. For this purpose,questionnaires were distributed and collected from 328 senior citizens aged 65 and over, who uses4 senior welfare centers at A town, S town, and H town. Data was analyzed by frequency analysisand cross analysis to figure out request on gender and age, request on X² verification was done. The results of this study were as follows : First, program development turned out to be surelyneeded. participate actively, participation rate will be raised over all age withsystematically-developed depression reduce program. Moreover, participants' program satisfactionrate can be improved based on acquired cooperation and resources of related institutes, and thatcould be gained in high expectations of reducing depression. Second, related to request on arttechniques and materials, depend on age and gender. but it should be considered when forming theprogram. Third, related to strategy of enforcement, ‘weekday afternoon’, ‘within 1 1/2 hours’,‘twice a week’, ‘total of 12 sessions’, ‘education․art activity․group discussion’ were the mostcommon, and statistically. Therefore, senior citizen's depression reduce program by art therapy isneed to developed and enforced in full consideration of these facts.

본 연구의 목적은 요구조사를 통해 미술치료를 활용한 노인 우울감소프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위해 A시, S시, H시 4개의 노인복지관을 이용하는 65세 이상 노인 328명에게 설문지를 배포하여 회수하였다. 자료 분석은 빈도 분석과 함께 성별과 연령에 따른 요구를 알아보기 위해 교차분석을 실시하였고 X²검증을 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 프로그램 개발에 관한 요구와 관련하여 프로그램필요성과 우울감소에 관한 도움을 기대하는 정도는 매우 긍정적인 결과를 얻었다. 참여의사는 긍정적인결과를 얻었으며, 연령별에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 미술기법과 재료에 대한 요구에서 기법은전체적으로 ‘만들기’가 가장 많았으며, 연령별에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 재료는 전체적으로 ‘크레파스’가 가장 많았으며, 성별에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 실시전략에 관한 요구로는 ‘평일 오후’, ‘1시간 30분 이내’, ‘주 2회’, ‘총 12회기’, ‘교육 ․ 미술활동 ‧ 집단토론’ 중심이 가장 많이 나타났다.
