This study aims to perform typological analysis of public space based on common space in luxury tourist hotel in Jeju City and to derive characteristics of pubic space thereby providing design data of hotel construction in the future. As a study method, hotel buildings were observed through reference and literature review and direct visit to sites was conducted to analyze current status and types of spatial structures. The study results were as follows. First, common spaces in hotels were focused on service space, dining space, and entertainment space but lacked leisure space. Second, the most widely used type for moving line to entry space was a hall type. Third, a lobby type was used in many cases as a floor plan. Fourth, most hotels employed an upper direction joint method as a cross-sectional joint type. Fifth, a closed type was the most frequently used construction type in individual spaces.
