This paper aims to investigate the application of sustainable factors in floating architectures through the analysis of samples and to suggest some application proposals for new projects. The applied sustainable factors in floating architecture can be summarized as follows; water resilience, relocatable, security from crime, peaceful atmosphere, renewable energy, prefabrication & modular design, local material & environmentally friendly material, enough insulation, natural ventilation & external awning, water reuse & treatment, preservation & restoration of natural environment, self-sufficient system , social support, community resilience in environmental, economic and social dimension. Application of sustainable factors in floating architecture would be proposed as introduction of various renewable energies, preservation & restoration of natural environment, prefabrication & modular design, self-sufficient mechanical/electrical system, and public facility for community. Comparing with the building on the land, floating architecture has a lot of advantages in terms of sustainability. Therefore floating architecture can be built in various ways as a new building typology.

이 연구의 목적은 사례 분석을 통하여 플로팅건축에서 지속가능 요소의 적용 실태를 조사하고, 새로운 프로젝트에서 지속가능 요소의 적용 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 플로팅건축에서 적용된 지속가능 요소를 정리해보면 다음과 같다; 물에 대한 내성, 이동 가능, 범죄 안전, 평화로운 분위기, 다양한 재생에너지, 조립식 및 모듈러 디자인, 지역 생산 자재 및 친환경 자재, 충분한 단열재, 자연환기 및 차양, 물 재사용 및 처리, 자연환경 보전 및 복원, 자급자족 설비시스템, 사회적 지원, 지역사회 유대감. 플로팅건축에서 지속가능 요소 적용 방안으로는 다양한 재생에너지 도입, 자연환경 보존 및 복원, 조립식 및 모듈러 디자인, 자급자족 설비시스템, 지역사회 공동시설 등을 제시하였다. 육지에 건립하는 건축물에 비하여 플로팅건축은 지속가능 측면에서 유리한 측면이 많기 때문에 새로운 건축유형으로 인정되어 다양한 방식으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
