This study is to understand sure the primary crime prevention has been incidence as a social problem intended for parents through the analysis of the Crime Prevention Design (CPTED) CPTED element of recognize elements that target crime prevention strategy to effectively help students be and an object of the present invention is to provide a policy suggestion haryeoneunde proposed basic data required for orientation. 이 연구는 사회적 문제로 부각되고 있는 초등학교 범죄예방을 위해 학부모를 대상으로 범죄예방설계(CPTED)요 소 인식에 대한 분석을 통해 CPTED의 전략적 요소들이 학생들의 대상 범죄를 효과적으로 예방하는데 도움이 될 수 있는지 이해하고 정책적 제언과 방향 제시에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하려는데 그 목적이 있다. 그러한 연구목 적의 달성을 위해 이 연구에서는 핵심적인 틀(Framework)로써 중요도-실행도 분석(IPA: Importance- Performance Analysis)을 선택하였다. 연구의 대상자는 1차 조사 집단은 2010년 경주시 초등학교 학부모 203명과 2차 조사 집단은 2014년 동 지역 초등 학교 학부모 297명을 유목적 표집(Purposeful Sampling)으로 선정하였다. 이 연구에서 사용한 설문지는 Martilla & James(1977)가 제시하였던 “중요도-실행도 분석(Important-Performance Analysis: IPA)" 기법을 적용하여 초등학생 학부모들을 대상으로 학생의 범죄예방을 위한 CPTED 전략요소에 대한 인식을 분석하였다. 중요도의 신뢰도(Cronbach`s α)는 1차 집단 0.886, 0.920, 0.895와 2차 집단 0.880, 0.906, 0.878 이었으며, 실행도의 신뢰도는 1차 집단 0.880, 0.917, 0.878과 2차 집단 0.735, 0.840, 0.830이었다. 자료의 분 석은 빈도 분석, 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계 분석 및 대응표본 t-Test를 실시하였다. IPA 실행격자를 통해 분석한 바, 초등학교 학부모들의 CPTED 전략요소에 대한 중요도는 전반적으로 매우 높았지 만 그 성취도는 구성요소에 따라 편차가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과, 초등학교 건물 내․외부에서 학생을 대상 으로 한 범죄의 불안감을 해소할 수 있는 범죄예방 설계(CPTED)의 중요한 전략요소는 1차 집단의 기계적 감시, 조직적 감시, 그리고 영역성 강화이며 2차 집단의 조사에서 기계적․조직적 요인으로 나타났으며, 경비인력 확충과 정문에 범죄예방 중요요소들 높은 중요도 비해 실행도가 낮아서 시급히 투자가 요청되고 있다고 하겠다. 이 연구의 분석결과는 학생들의 범죄예방을 위해 범죄예방 설계(CPTED) 전략요소를 규명하고 향후 초등학교에 서 CPTED의 구성요소를 효과적으로 적용하는 정책적 방향 제시에 기초자료를 활용될 수 있기를 기대한다.
