- This study aims to clarify the spatial form and transformation of traditional house in Cheongsando-island through field survey. The results are as follows. First, the basic form of house (;main building) in Cheongsando-island is constituted of 4-room, Room-Jeongji(Kitchen)-Room-Marae(Storage). Second, the basic form of sub building in Cheongsando-island is constituted of 3-room, Room-OeyangJeongji(Kitchen)-Oeyanggan (cowhouse). Third, the transformation of the traditional house in Cheongsando-island begins in the 1970s, but is the after 1990s in earnest. The reason of the transformation is a thing by the changes of the lifestyles, and an existing soil floor and the wooden floor turn into the room.
