The purpose of this study was to examine emotions and factors fostering and hindering elementary school teachers’ sensitivity using Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR). Subjects were 14 elementary school teachers. The results were as follows; Frist, 10 emotions and 29 factors affecting teachers’ sensitivity were induced. Second, emotions fostering teachers' sensitivity were ‘joy and pleasure', ‘confidence’, ‘passion’, and ‘comfort'. The factors causing joy and pleasure were ‘the growth of students', ‘intimacy with students', 'achievement'. The factors causing confidence were ‘competent guidance and counseling’, ‘deep understanding of students’ behavior’, ‘teaching satisfaction’. And the factors causing passion were ‘affection for students’, ‘sense of duty’. Lastly, the factors causing comfort were ‘physical comfort', ‘acceptance increment’, ‘social support', ‘working environment improvement’, and ‘peaceful family’. Third, emotions hindering teachers' sensitivity were ‘depressive feeling', ‘anger', ‘irritation’, ‘anxiety', ‘disappointment', and ‘loneliness'. Depressive feeling was caused by ‘helplessness' and ‘sense of shame’. Anger was caused by ‘misunderstanding of people', ‘maladjusted behavior of students', and‘conflict with others'. The factors causing irritation were ’physical fatigue’, ‘excessive work’, ‘excessive demands’, and ‘authoritative attitude of administers’. And anxiety was caused by ‘worries about the achievement', ‘being a target of criticism', and ‘worries about their own family’. The factors of causing disappointment were ‘frustration of expectation for students’ and ‘lack of consideration’. Lastly, loneliness was caused by ‘psychological distance with students’ and ‘lack of emotional support’. Implications and limitations of current study are discussed.

이 연구에서는 초등학교 교사 민감성을 촉진하거나 방해하는 정서와 유발 변인들을 합의적 질적분석방법(CQR)을 통하여 알아보았다. 연구 대상은 초등학교 교사 14명이었다. 연구 결과, 10개의 정서와 29개의 유발 변인으로 분류되었는데, 초등학교 교사의 민감성을 촉진하는 정서 로는 ‘기쁨과 즐거움’, ‘자신감’, ‘열정’, ‘편안함’이 있었다. 기쁨과 즐거움을 유발하는 변인은 ‘학 생의 성장’, ‘학생과의 친밀감’, ‘성취감’이었으며, 자신감을 유발하는 변인은 ‘유능한 생활지도 및 상담’, ‘학생의 행동에 대한 이해 증가’, ‘수업만족도’이었다. 열정을 유발하는 변인은 ‘학생에 대한 애정’, ‘사명감’이었다. 마지막으로 편안함을 유발하는 변인은 ‘신체적 편안함’, ‘학생에 대 한 수용 증가’, ‘정서적지지’, ‘근무환경의 부담 감소’, ‘가정의 안정’이었다. 초등학교 교사의 민 감성을 방해하는 정서로는 ‘우울’, ‘화’, ‘짜증’, ‘불안’, ‘실망감’, ‘외로움’이 있었다. 우울을 유발하 는 변인들은 ‘무기력감’과 ‘자괴감’이 있었으며, 화를 유발하는 변인들은 ‘주변 사람들의 오해’, ‘학생의 부정적 행동’, ‘타인과의 갈등’이었고, 짜증을 유발하는 변인들은 ‘신체적 피로’, ‘과도한 업무’, ‘과도한 요구’, ‘상사의 권위적 태도’이었다. 다음으로 불안을 유발하는 변인들은 ‘성취에 대한 걱정’, ‘타인의 비난에 대한 걱정’, ‘가정에 대한 걱정’이었다. 그리고 실망감을 유발하는 변인은 ‘학생에 대한 기대감 좌절’과 ‘학생의 배려 부족’이었다. 마지막으로는 외로움을 유발하 는 변인은 ‘학생과의 심리적 거리감’과 ‘정서적 지지의 부족’이었다. 이 연구는 초등학교 교사 민감성을 증진시키기 위한 교육 및 상담에 구체적인 정보를 제공할 수 있다는 데 의의가 있다.
