- The purpose of this study was to understand the causal situation of physical education curriculum changes by precedent research analysis on physical education curriculum, and to argue the task of henceforward research by analyzing the findings(outcomes) from researches. Accordingly, this study illuminated the research outcomes by analyzing 71 pieces of researches from the year 1997 to 2011 related to physical education curriculum, registered in domestic academic journals. On the foundation of research findings from physical education curriculum drawn from this process, henceforward tasks of physical education curriculum were searched. 1) The research on the structure of subject for the design of physical education curriculum is necessary. 2) In order to enhance the alignment of physical education curriculum contents, the research on the re-examination of construction elements is necessary. 3) The research affiliating 'the physical activities value' which is regarded as a core of physical education subject, to major revision(amendment) contents according to the 2009 revised curriculum, is necessary. In summary, such findings(outcomes) from this study means the re-analysis on the selected research works on the base of comprehensive understanding on the research works from precedent physical education curriculums. In the long run, it is expected that this research process can assign the clarity to arguments on the patterns of changes, and on the directional point by making it possible to compare the present custom of physical education curriculum with the past or future physical education curriculum.

- 이 연구의 목적은 ‘체육과 교육과정 선행 연구 분석을 통하여 체육과 교육과정 변화의 인과적 상황을 이해하고, 연구 성과를 분석하여 향후 연구 과제를 논의’하는 것이다. 이에 따라 이 연구에서는 1997년부터 2011년까지 국내 학회지에 게재된 체육과 교육과정 관련 연구물 71편의 성과를 분석하였다. 이 과정에서 도출된 체육과 교육과정 연구의 성과 분석을 토대로 체육과 교육과정의 과제를 살펴보았다. 첫째, 체육과 교육과정 설계를 위한 교과의 구조에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 체육과 교육과정 내용의 정합성을 높이기 위해서는 구성 요소의 재검토에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 셋째, 체육 교과의 핵심으로 간주되는 ‘신체활동 가치’와 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 체육과 교육과정 주요개정 내용을 연계하는 연구가 필요하다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 선행 체육과 교육과정 연구물의 포괄적인 이해를 바탕으로 선정 연구물의 ‘재분석’을 의미한다. 이런 연구 과정은 체육과 교육과정 연구의 변화의 관점에서 현재 체육과 교육과정의 관행과 과거 또는 미래의 체육과 교육과정 사이를 비교할 수 있게 함으로써 변화의 패턴과 지향점에 대한 논의에 명확성을 부여할 수 있을 것이다.
