- The purpose of this study is to operate the program that improves elementary school teachers’ practical skills through the Practical Affairs of Teaching Profession Program(hereinafter referred to as ‘PATP’). The final goals of this study is to find ways to solve the problem related with PATP. Scholars emphasize theoretical knowledge than practical skills. Many studies have emphasized the importance of the school-based approach. Also this PATP course was created in this theoretical back grounds. The legal basis of this PATP course is based on the The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology’s(hereinafter referred to as ‘MEST')’ public notice regarding the criteria for a teacher’s license. According to the MEST Criteria, this course should contain some theme: Ethics of Teaching Profession, Social Change and Education, Student Culture, and Classroom Management and Guidance(§16②). In Chapter 2, The the article analyzed background and progress of the PATP course. and In Chapter 3, investigated the development process of PATP course. The Characteristics and emphases of this PATP was described in Chapter 4. Lastly achievements and problems of PATP course were analyzed through the opinion survey on students and reflection meeting between professors. As a conclusion, suggestions which We can get from this study are as follows. The experience as the elementary classroom teacher is crucial factors when we decide the syllabus styles. The ideal contents of PATP course should be consisted of 'Teacher & Teaching Profession, 'Classroom & School Management, and 'Personnel Management'. Also It is essential prerequisite to maintain the division of roles between similar courses(Prevention and Countermeasure of School Violence & Education Administration and Management etc.). Finally, The article proposed some tasks for a follow-up study and legislative policy related with PATP.

- 이 연구는 교사자격 세부기준의 개정에 따라 교직소양 과목의 하나로 개설된 「교직실무」교육프로그램을 개발하여 교육대학에 적용한 사례 연구이다. 이를 위해 교직실무 관련 교재와 타 대학의 강의계획 사례분석을 기초로 교재를 제작하고 강의계획을 수립하여 적용하였다. 교과부고시에 따르면 이 과목은 ‘교사로서의 학습지도 능력 이외의 직무수행에 필요한 영역을 주제별로 운영토록 되어있으며, ‘교직윤리’, ‘사회변화와 교육’, ‘학생문화’, ‘학급관리와 학생지도’ 등을 포함토록 되어있다. 이 과목은 교직관 형성을 위한 교사론, 실무능력 향상을 위한 학급운영, 그리고 제도적 이해를 위한 학사․인사 등 3개 주제로 구성하였다. 강의방식과 쟁점 관련 토론방식을 병행하였고, 실무실습 보고서 평가와 무감독 시험방식을 병행했다. 수업 후 수강생에 대한 의견조사와 담당교수 간의 협의를 통하여 운영상 문제점을 분석하고 개선 과제를 제시하였다. 교직이론 과목을 비롯하여 교육실습 활동과의 연계 운영의 필요성과 교직실무 과목 내용 구성을 위한 학회 차원의 논의를 제언하였다.
