- This is a research about the systematization of design education and a basic research to systemize the design field in art textbooks that were currently classified by major departments in university into 2D․3D․4D based on spatiality. In the process of research, the basis of classification of school design education into 2D․3D․4D that relates with grade group are discussed as the following: First, it is the relationship between learners and social and cultural environment. Second, it is expansion of learner's area of experience. Third, the relation to the design education system based on learners' expression and development stage. Based on this theoretical background, analysis of the design field of middle school arts textbook were conducted centering around current revised curriculum with an investigation of each textbook's characteristics through the classification of the design field of each, and the rate-to-grad. Findings suggest that any guideline or direction to school textbook design field that is correctly indicated, or a systematic agony and practice about the rank of grade are lacking. For a more effective practice of school design education, a standard model should be developed and presented regarding guidelines of 2D․3D․4D systems with contents suggesting other theoretical researches in order to apply each 2D․3D․4D design field as well as integrating them to the classroom.

- 현재 우리나라 중학교에서 활용되고 있는 디자인체계는 기존의 대학 전공별로 분류된 학제간의 분류를 근간으로 이루어졌다. 그러나 시대의 변화와 함께 인간의 생활양식이 통합화되면서 고유분야로 존재하였던 각 분야의 디자인은 상호침투하고 시간과 공간의 의미를 지닌 분야의 등장으로 새로운 변화를 겪고 있다. 이러한 디자인 분야의 변화는 더 이상 하나의 대상을 제품디자인이나 시각디자인 내지는 환경디자인이라는 한정된 영역으로 규정하기가 힘들어졌으며 이에 따라 중등교육과정에서의 디자인교육내용 및 체계에 대한 전반적인 재논의가 요구된다. 이에 본 연구는 디자인교육이 학년 군별 체계성이 필요하다는 전제에서 시작되었으며 디자인교육과 학습의 이해에 따라 기초-심화-통합의 단계로 나누고 이에 심화단계인 중학교 교과과정에서의 디자인교육에 대해 2007년 개정 교과서를 분석하고 이를 기반으로 디자인교육에 대한 체계성을 제시하고자 한다.
