The purpose of this study is to analyze the architectural significance of education and culture faculty for youth on tendency of urban architecture, which is focused on that of old & new civic zone in Asan city, Chungcheongnam. Analyzing the 38-selected buildings , Asan's architecture were classified into 3 tendencies. And then education and culture faculty for youth were valuated architectural tendence. The conclusion of this study as per the aims and methods are as follows. : First, the urban characteristics of Asan city are the historical and cultural city, the futuristic and innovative city. Second, the tendency of urban architecture are the rational tendency and the romantic tendency, the historic tendency. Third, the significant architecture of the Asan city relative to the disposition and distribution of youth education and culture facilities are also similar to the general building in the city. Finally, the conclusion of this study expect to be used as continued research datum.
