The purpose of this study is to find problems of the color environment on the streetscape of campus town. So, based on the street, and will be analyzed the color environmental characteristics of buildings and signboards in the street. The following is the summary of the result of entailing problems and analysis. 1) The street buildings in the campus town have no visual perception on sequence and balance. Also, it seems like a normal commercial street based on culture of consumption. Therefore, lt is unbalance between campus commercial street and campus culture. 2) The dominant colors of the street buildings’ have low color differences so there is any problem of continuous street image. However, variety of color, value and chroma are widely used for the signboard. So they cause confusion of visual impressions. Futhermore, every shops install their signboard with high rate of color change so they make visual distractions. 3) Because they are assembled on the 1st, 2nd floor elevation, exterior wall has row recognition rate and building elevation is appeared like fragmented image. Especially, the use of shaped boards and facade signboards cover the whole building elevation, the streetscape is formed by instead of buildings.

본 연구는 도시경관의 질적 개선을 위한 시도로서 대학가 가로공간의 가로변건축물과 사인물의 환경색채를 경관적 측면에서 다루고자 하였다. 즉, 지역사회의 경제적, 문화적, 사회전반에 영향을 미치고 다양한 욕구를 수용하는 대학가 가로공간을 대상으로 가로변건축물과 사인물의 색채환경에 대한 제반 문제점과 그 특성을 파악함으로써 대학가 가로환경개선 시 참고할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다.
