The research project is intended to furnish the base line data for architectural design; design directions of the new constructing building in urban residential district, continuity of urban streetscape and the like. With the 146 buildings in the single detached residential unit of the I-do 2 district, Jeju city, it was carried out by analyzing the image feature of the street-building with architectural form composition elements and understanding the present condition of street landscape. The results of this study are as follows : In the primary design factors, the general box type accounts for the highest percentage of 56.3% for the horizontal shape and the general type makes the highest of 58.22% for the vertical. For the roof, the gable roof and the flat roof accounts for the highest of 51.37%. In the secondary design factors, the regular type's share is 46.58% for the faced type and the repeat arrange pattern's is the highest of 60.27% for the faced pattern.

본 연구에서는 제주시 이도2지구 내 단독주택용지에 완공된 146동의 건축물을 대상으로 가로면 건축물의 이미지 특성을 건축물의 형태구성요소 분석을 통해 가로경관적 현황을 파악함으로써, 제주시 이도2지구 내 새로이 조성되는 건축물의 디자인적 방향과 기존건축물과의 조화를 이룰 수 있는 가로경관의 연속성 등 건축설계에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다.
