The YANGJEONGPYEON is the book of essential knowledge about children education. This book was written by JEONG GYEONGSE in the 17th century, which was translated into Korean language in 1926. The main goal of translating the book was to teach manners to children. In this article, I discuss that this book contains various GYEONGSANG dialects in the early 20th century. The results are as follows: First, I found out that this book has the phonological phenomena such as neutralization of 'ㅔ[e]' and 'ㅐ[æ]', monophthongization, vowel fronting, and etc. Monophthongization and vowel fronting coexisted with the opposite direction phenomenon. This phenomenon indicates transitional correction. Second, JAHAE, which is the interpretation of Chinese characters, appears in this book. The property of lexicology is described in educational vocabulary. Third, many of causative verbs which are derived from suffix come from this book. Another result shows that the pre-final ending combination order was coexisted. These phenomena explain the grammatical(morpheme-syntactical) properties in this book.

이 글은 1926년 언해된 정경세의 『양정편』에 나타난 음운, 어휘, 형태 ㆍ통사적인 특징을 기술하는 데 목표를 두었다. 언해본 『양정편』의 음 운, 어휘, 형태ㆍ통사적인 현상은 19세기 말부터 20세기 초까지의 경상 방언의 모습을 뚜렷이 보여준다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 선행 연구에서 국어 방언사 자료로 이 책을 활용한 사례가 전혀 없었던 것은 아니지만, 이 책에 대한 구체적인 분석이 이루어진 적은 없었다. 이 글에서 논의한 바를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 음운적인 특징으로는 ‘ㅔ’와 ‘ㅐ’의 중화, ‘단모음화 현상’, ‘전설 모음화의 혼재’, ‘역구개음화 표기’, ‘강화, 축약ㆍ탈락’, ‘규칙 활용’의 과 도 교정 현상 등이 있었음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 어휘적인 면에서는 ‘자해(字解)’를 둔 점과 소학 교육용 교재로 서의 특징이 반영된 어휘가 많다는 점을 논의하였다. 셋째, 형태ㆍ통사적인 특징으로는 조어법상 접사 파생법에 의한 사동 사가 많다는 점, 부사형 어미의 이형태로 ‘-기’ 계통이 많다는 점, 부정문 에서 통사적 부정문의 부정어미가 ‘-게, -기, -지, -이’ 등의 이형태로 나 타난다는 점, 선어말어미 ‘-거-’와 ‘-시-’의 결합 순서가 혼재한다는 점 등 을 기술하였다.
