The main objective of this study is to investigate factors of an unemployment rate, income gap, economic growth rate, crime occurrence variables influencing on suicide. Therefore, this study attempts to test the unemployment rate, income gap, economic growth rate, crime occurrence on suicide through time series analysis. The data used in this study were 1983 to 2012 year data including unemployment rate, income gap, economic growth rate, crime occurrence of National Statistic. Major statistical analysis is multiple regression analysis model. As a result that model hypotheses were tested based on a T value(absolute value of more than 1.96) at significance level of 0.05, it was clarified that the hypotheses, unemployment rate, income gap, economic growth rate, crime occurrence rate formed in this study was significant, and the of relation was corresponded with the hypotheses. It was accepted that the hypotheses, coefficient was accorded that the hypotheses, income quintile share ratio, economic growth rate formed in this study was significant, and the of relation was corresponded with the hypotheses. Otherwise, It was rejected that the hypotheses, coefficient was discord that the hypotheses, the unemployment rate, crime occurrence formed in this study was not significant, and the of relation was not corresponded with the hypotheses. This study is very significant in that the researcher proposed an empirical model of the factors of coincident composite index variables influencing on suicide, which have not been greatly studied in theoretical empirical aspects till now, and in that the researcher also proposed an improvement plan through analyses of suicide

본 연구는 자살에 영향을 미치는 실업률, 경제성장률, 소득격차(5분위배율), 범죄발생의 영향력을 연구한다. 실업률, 경제성장률, 소득격차(5분위배율), 범죄발생의 변수는 시계열자료이다. 자료는 통계청의 국가통계포털에서 1983에서 2012까지의 년도별 자료를 사용했다. 통계분석모델은 다중회귀분석이다. 모델의 검증은 T값(절대값: 1.96)과 유의수준 0.05수준에서 검증한다. 유의수준 0.05에서 경제성장률과 소득격차(5분위배율)가 유의하게 나타났다. 실업률과 범죄발생은 유의하지 않았다. 가설의 검증은 계수의 방향과 유의수준을 가지고 채택여부를 검증했다. 경제성장률과 5분위배율과 가설과 계수가 일치하고 0.05 유의수준에서 유의하기 때문에 가설을 채택했다. 반면에 실업률과 범죄발생은 유의하지고 않고, 가설과 계수의 방향이 일치하지 않아 가설을 기각했다. 본 연구는 자살에 영향을 미치는 요인으로서 실업률, 5분위배율, 경제성장률, 범죄발생 등의 설명변수를 통한 실증적 분석이다.
