this research thesis selected navy as the research subject, and diagnosed stress in order to find out how stress-coping styles among navy will have the influence on the prevention of military crimes. And, this thesis established the hypothesis that self-esteem and social support might influence stress and stress-coping styles, and there might be difference in stress, stress-coping styles, self-esteem and social support between each group, and then attempted to test it. The analytic research results are as follows. The research confirmed that self-esteem and social support influence stress and the influence on preventing crimes. It is confirmed that social support serves as the great variable of active stress-coping style. Thus, the stronger individual self-esteem and social support of military soldiers who serve for military service would contribute to coping positively with stress happening in every day, preventing military incidents or deviation, and furthermore preventing military crimes in advance.

본 연구는 해군 장병을 대상으로 진행되었으며 장병들의 스트레스 대처방식이 범죄예방에 미치 는 영향을 확인하기 위하여 장병들의 스트레스를 진단하고, 자아존중감과 사회적 지지가 스트레스와 대 처방식에 영향을 줄 것이라는 가설과 집단 간 스트레스와 대처방식, 자아존중감 및 사회적 지지에 차이 가 있을 것이라는 가설을 수립하여 이를 검증해 보았다. 여기에서는 자아존중감과 사회적 지지가 스트레 스와 스트레스 대처에 영향을 주고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 스트레스 대처방식이 범죄예방에 영향을 주 고 있음을 실증적 연구를 통해 알 수 있었으며 사회적 지지가 스트레스의 적극적인 대처에 큰 변수로 작 용하고 있음을 알았다. 그러므로 군 복무 중 장병 개인의 자아존중감과 사회적 지지를 강화시켜 나간다 면, 일상에서 겪는 스트레스에 긍정적으로 대처하여 사고, 일탈행위를 방지함으로써 범죄예방에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
