Meridian massage is the most popular massage to experience at the skin-care salons and Jjimjilbang (Korean style spa), and a middle-aged woman has especially tended to prefer Meridian massage. However, it has not been well-systematized in the virtue of Meridian massage and a well-rounded curriculum against its popularity. For that reasons, the purpose of this study is to scientifically establish the fact of the virtue of Meridian massage and make an easy applying method to the field workers. The procedure of study is as following, first, excuting Meridian massage through acupressure and manual therapy at the back where Sa-gwan Acupuncture Points and bangkwang kyeong passing through. Then, Meridian massage had verified through analysis of composition change of the factors in the abdomen and body composition. According to above experimental verification, this study had progressed to reach a standard data of an effective Meridian massage through above experimental verification. After Meridian massage, the change of body compositions is a decrease of body weight and fat. To make systemic manual of Meridian massage, further study should be conducted with improving and modifying methods.
