Object : 1. To know how many students are aware of the department of Occupational Therapy. 2. To know what do students think about Occupational Therapy.
Methods : This survey was conducted over a period of 2 weeks from 19 Nov through 1 Dec 2007. And the 713 highschool students in the third grade have participated this survey.
Results : The research reported that 202(28.33%) students recognized the department of occupational therapy. In answer to question for the perception of which college established the department of occupational therapy, 101(14.17%) students reported they already know details of college it has. In answer to the question for the effect of occupational therapy to a national health, 55.46% reports that occupational therapy is a part of the rehabilitation therapy and 56.1% answer in the affirmative. and 42.77% respondents reports that the occupational therapy is obviously distinguished from the other therapy.
As the result of the research, we suggest to offer the exact information about occupational therapy and department of occupational therapy to highschool students.
