This study is to find out the state of health services need by rehabilitation medical centers for the elderly and to look for ways to improve the elderly program. The way of this study was 311 head of the elderly in pusan city on September, 2004 to October, 2004.
A statistic analysis program used generated by SPSS. The using of Services Need is PT, OT 46.0%, Dental services 14.4%, Korean Medicine service 14.0%, Internal Medicine 5.5% and Nurse service 5.1%. On the basis of the above findings, we may summarize as follows. First, it is urgently needed to expand Rehabilitation staff. Second, with the adoption of a strengthened evaluation system for their management, rehabilitation medical centers should verify the use of public funds, thus increasing the level of responsibility and objectivity. Third, he strengthening of linkage with other medical institutions in the local community could help health service centers achieve specialization and avoid redundant investment by exchanging specialized personnel and high-tech equipments.
