Objective: The Purpose of this study was identified problem, present condition of the Public health center through Comparison between the present condition of occupational therapy and physical therapy in Busan & Kyoung Nam Public health center.
Method: Survey of 16th Busan public health center and 20th kyoung Nam public health center workers was conducted by questionary and telephone. The collection of data executes from 2005 September 30th to 2005 October 11th. reply data analyzed through the SPSS 10.0.
Result: 1. 32th the Public health center have a physical therapy room but 1th the Public health center have occupational therapy room.
2. Physical therapist was employed regular workers and temporary workers but occupational therapist was employed only part time workers.
3. Necessity of occupational therapy room and physical therapy room was all respondents agree only physical therapy room, but 52% respondents agree occupational therapy room.
4. Rehabilitation visiting service was conducted on 26th. The order of professional staff was nurse, doctor, physical therapist and the others(11%) involved occupational therapist.
5. The user of rehabilitation visiting service was 65 years old and the older of disease type was chronic degeneration disease, CVA, dementia and SCI.
Conclusion: 1. Current health code need law institution in regard of occupational room opening, occupational therapist employment and role.
2. A public hearing and forum need held for occupational therapist's participation on Community Based Rehabilitation
3. Recognition need convert occupational therapist' role through community based occupational therapy
