The manufacturing of illegal gasoline has undergone a change over the years and now involves blending large quantities of petrochemicals to petroleum. Currently, illegal gasoline which is typically manufactured using a mixture of paint thinner, organic solvents, alcohol and toluene in a predetermined method, is in circulation in the market. Fire of ignitable liquids have fatalities and property losses. In addition, it is true that the fires of ignitable liquids give structures and origin the damage which is very extensive and evidences the change which is burned. Therefore, ignitable liquids have been used in arson fires. An opportunity from this case study that re-illuminates the importance of the basic study on the theory of explosion and its evaluation raises a warning in society about the dangers of explosives. Illegal petroleum in some gas stations located in residential areas within cities. To prevent further accidents such as deaths caused by explosive pressure and trauma in gas station, we must investigate the cause of such accidents thoroughly and logically.

유사휘발유는 정상휘발유에 이물질을 혼합하여 제조하거나 정상휘발유를 사용하지 않고 신나,유기용제, 알코올, 톨루엔 등을 혼합하여 제조되는 인화성 액체로 화재 발생 시 인명과 재산피해가 높고증거 인멸을 위한 방화목적과 부합해서 방화현장에서 자주 등장한다. 본 논문의 두 사례는 유사휘발유를취급하던 주유소에서 폭발이 발생하여 건물이 붕괴 되고, 동소에 있던 관계자들이 유증에 의한 폭발압력및 충격으로 사망한 것으로 폭발원리 및 감식 사례 기법 재조명 한 계기이며 나아가 도심지 및 주택가곳곳에 자리 잡은 주유소의 폭발 위험성과 유사석유에 대해 사회에 경각심을 일깨운 대형사건으로 앞으로 폭발 사고 원인분석에 대한 체계적이며 논리적인 조사를 실례를 통하여 제시하고자 한다.
