This paper analyzes the contribution of tourism industry on economic growth in JeollaNamdo using gross regional value added and factor income data by industry, reports on the service industry survey, the transport survey and the wholesale and retail trade survey in Statistics Korea. This paper also estimates consumption tourism ratio(CTR) and supply tourism ratio(STR) by regional and industrial sectors using Korea national tourism survey in Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in terms of tourism satellite accounts classifying demand and supply sides. This paper shows that the contribution ratio of economic growth to tourism industry in JeollaNamdo is 6.9% and represents 6th among industrial sectors. Specifically, in demand side of tourism satellite accounts, measuring the ratio of tourism consumption by regional sector in JeollaNamdo tourism, JeollaNamdo residents form 33.00% of one-day tour and Kyonggido resident forms the highest portion as 24.90% of lodging tour. Comparing the ratio of own region in tourism consumption, JeollaNamdo ranks as 8th(33.0%) in one-day tour and as 6th(13.50%) in lodging tour. This paper also reveals that in JeollaNamdo case, consumption tourism ratio(CTR) represents 20.20% as 4th and that supply-side tourism ratio(STR) represents 2.20% as 6th.

본고는 통계청의 경제활동별 지역내총부가가치 및 요소소득 자료와 서비스업 조사, 운수업조사, 도소매업조사 보고서를 이용하여 전라남도 관광산업의 경제성장기여도를 분석하였다. 그리고 문화체육관광부의 국민여행실태조사보고서를 이용하여 전라남도 지역관광위성계정을 구축하고 수요와 공급측면에서 관광소비지출과 지역별 산업별 관광부가가치액을 추정하였다. 분석결과를 보면, 전체산업에 대한 경제성장기여율은 관광산업이 2009년 6.9%로 경제활동 업종 중에서 여섯 번째로 높게 나타났다. 지역관광위성계정의 추정 결과를 보면 수요측면에서 전남도내 당일 관광여행 관광소비의 지역별 비율의 경우 전남도내 비중이 33.0%로 가장 높게 나타났고 숙박 관광여행은 경기(24.90%)가 가장 높게 나타났다. 당일 관광여행 관광소비에서 자기지역이 차지하는 비중은 33.0%로 전국에서 여덟 번째, 숙박 관광여행은 13.50%로 여섯 번째로 나타났다. 민간소비지출 중 관광소비지출이 차지하는 비중(CTR)은 전라남도가 네 번째로 높은 20.02%로 나타났다. 공급측면의 경우 부가가치에서 관광부가가치가 차지하는 비중(STR)은 2.20%로 전라남도가 여섯 번째로 높게 나타났다.
