The permanent thing, in such a chaotic comtemporary architecture, is that most buildings have their own pictorialities and emotion which are distinguishable from other buildings. The pictoriality of such architecture have influence on emotions and feelings of human and have a poetic inspiration in the human inner side. About the environment feelings do not penetrate, human beings do not feel absolute satisfaction is finalized. Buildings that form the interior and exterior space may be subject to symbolization of emotions. Therefore, a new type of buildings of the complex and chaotic kind of atypical form and space open new feelings of human nature and such characteristics of the new type of buildings can be described in the pictoriality. By focusing on architectural expression of malerisch approach in architecture was to examine the pictoriality of architecture and by setting the malerisch expression element and type in architecture was to examine the pictoriality of architecture.

혼돈의 현대건축 경향 속에서 변함이 없는 것은 대부분의 건축물은 회화성을 간직하고 다른 건축물과는 차별화된 감성을 가지려한다는 점이다. 이러한 건축의 회화성은 인간의 감정, 감성에 영향을 끼치고 인간의 내면에 시적 감흥을 일으킨다. 감정이 스며들어 있지 않은 환경에 대해 인간은 절대 완결된 만족감을 느끼지 못하기 때문이다. 건축물이 형성하는 내, 외부 공간은 감정의 상징화 대상이 될 수 있다. 그러므로 건설되고 있는 새로운 유형의 건축물들이 가지는 복잡하고 혼돈된 비정형적 형태와 공간은 인간의 감정의 새로운 영역을 열게 되고 그러한 특성은 그 건축물이 가진 회화성으로 설명되어 질 수 있다. 본 논문은 회화적 접근방식에 의한 건축표현을 중심으로 건축의 회화성을 고찰하고, 건축에서 나타나고 있는 회화적 표현요소 및 유형을 설정함을 통하여 건축의 회화성을 살펴보고자 한다.
