The aim of this study is to try to provide a better understanding of the relationship between the habitual reckless driving behavior and the drivers several characteristics such as age, marriage status and education level. The study suggests eighteen measurements directly or indirectly related to the reckless driving behavior. Principal component analysis in factor analysis is used to find the habitual reckless driver. By using techniques of categorical analysis on drivers involved in traffic accident or regulation violation, log-linear model with four variables are established. In order to compare the differences in response between the reckless driving behavior and drivers characteristics, odds multipliers from logit modeling are computed. As the statistically significant results of Chi-square test, all hypotheses of independence between the drivers characteristics and the reckless driving behavior are rejected with the statistical significance. The log-linear model is established with good likelihood ratio and probability. In the analysis of an odds multiplier, drivers, who are less than 40-year-old, single, and under high school level, are the most likely group to be classified into being the habitual reckless drivers. Those least likely to by classified into the habitual reckless divers are old-aged(51+) and married persons with above college educational level.
