For economic growth the Knowledge service industry should be improved. In this respect, Knowledge service industry for export insurance system has been researched. Promotion of knowledge service industry for export might be considered as an alternative to complement commodity export-can help the strategy of economic growth. Also, service exports will play an important role even in current account improvement. Knowledge service industry in Korea is mostly consist of small companies. It is very important to get financial support for these small firms to gain access to foreign markets. Representative system of financial support is an export insurance system. Alternatives for the export of knowledge service industry are as follows. First, Transactional attributes of knowledge service industry for specific export insurance system should be developed. Second, supporting policy for small and medium-sized companies should be enforced. Finally, independent and autonomous position of KTIC should be strengthened.

본 연구는 지식서비스산업의 수출보험제도에 대하여 연구하였다. 이번 연구를 통하여 지식서비스산업의 수출확대를 위한 보험제도 개선방안을 보면 첫째, 지식서비스의 상품적ㆍ거래적 특성을 고려한 보험 상품의 개발이 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 수요자 중심의 수출보험제도의 운영이 필요하다. 셋째, 우리나라 지식서비스업체는 대부분 소규모 업체이다. 따라서 현재의 무역보험법상의 중소기업 우대조항을 강행규범으로 개정할 필요성이 있다. 넷째, 무역보험공사의 자율성과 독립성을 강화하여 지식서비스산업의 보다 실질적인 지원제도가 이루어질 수 있도록 해야 할 것이다. 수출보험제도는 수출확대를 위한 대표적인 제도라 볼 수 있다. 이러한 수출보험제도를 지식서비스산업에 효과적으로 적용하여 국가 성장 동력으로서의 지식서비스산업의 해외시장 진출을 더욱 확대해야 할 것이다.
