In this study, the test for the response characteristics of sensors was fulfilled for three different shapes of gas inlet (cap type, chamber type and open chamber type) while measuring the response time and concentration for each standard gases (HCHO, VOC, CO and SO2). Among three shapes, the response time of sensor having cap type inlet for a target gas was slightly faster than those having the other inlet shapes. T90 value of cap type was the range of 10~22 seconds for all gases. At the tests to identify the concentration sensitivity of sensors according to the inlet shapes, the shape of cap type inlet was showed most accurate values for the given concentration of gases compare to other inlet shapes. As a results of this study, we can identify the sensor response characteristics for the gases is fairly depend on the shape of gas inlet part. And this results can be applied to the design of gas analyser having sensor type detectors.

본 연구는 센서의 응답특성을 알아보기 위하여 가스상 오염물질중 4가지 표준가스(HCHO, VOC, CO and SO2) 물질 을 선정하여 각 농도변화에 따라 가스센서로 유입되는 3가지 타입방식(cap type, chamber type and open chamber type) 을 고려하여 수행하였다. 본 연구대상의 가스물질에 대하여 3가지 가스유 입 방식중에 캡타입의 응답속도가 다른 타입에 비해 다소 빠르게 나타났으며, 캡타입의 T90 값은 10~22초 정도로 나타났 다. 이 연구에서 가스 유입방식에 따라 농도감 응을 확인할 수 있었으며, 캡타입이 다른 방식에 비해 각 측정범위내에서 좀 더 빠르고 정확한 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과, 각 표준가스에 대한 센서의 응답특성이 가스 유입방식에 따라 상당 히 의존하였으며, 센서타입의 가스분석기 설계 시 가스 유입방식을 고려해야 할 것으로 판단된다.
