This research examined the relations between the participation motive and exercise immersion, and leisure satisfaction of those participating in scuba diving from a structural point of view through grounded theory approach. To achieve this, the data collected from 227 people who continued to participate in scuba diving were analyzed and as the result, the following conclusion was derived. The participation motive of those participating in scuba diving influenced exercise immersion while it did not directly influence leisure satisfaction, and exercise immersion also did not directly influence leisure satisfaction. However, when participation motive influenced leisure satisfaction through exercise immersion, the influential power was found to become relatively higher. Accordingly, the scuba diving event is adventurous sports that can be enjoyed together with nature, and in order for the participation motive of participants to have positive effects on leisure satisfaction, one must experience exercise immersion, so it is important above all to make efforts to enhance exercise immersion from the macroscopic aspect for continuous activities of scuba diving and leisure specialization. Particularly, sports coaches and the persons concerned should develop and provide the programs for exercise immersion so that those participating in scuba diving can find living vitality with leisure satisfaction through exercise immersion.
