This study analyzed how the critical ingredients in case management implementation are correlated with the networking among the community mental health centers. The survey and interviews were conducted to the 23 community mental health centers in the Kyonggi province. The case management implementation factors were identified with three major characteristics: human resources(clients and staffing), organization, and service delivery. The study results showed that the major ones among the case management implementation factors were the number of case managers, the client-to-staff ratio, and the frequency of case management contact. The community mental health centers which had more case managers, the lower client-to-staff ratio, and the more contacts with case managers were likely to experience the better networking. Finally, the implications and limitations were discussed based on these results.

본 연구는 정신보건센터에서 수행하는 사례관리의 구성요소에 따라 네트워크 활동이 어떠한 관계를 보이는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 경기도 내 총 23개의 정신보건센터를 대상으로 면접조사 및 우편조사를 실시하였다. 정신보건센터에서 수행하고 있는 사례관리를 인적, 조직적 및 서비스 전달 요소로 나누어 살펴보았으며, 각각의 수행요소가 네트워크 활동과 어떠한 상관관계를 갖는지 분석하였다. 분석 결과 네트워크 활동과 가장 많은 유의미한 상관관계를 보인 요소는 사례관리 수행 직원의 규모, 담당 사례관리 대상자 수, 그리고 클라이언트와의 접촉 빈도 등으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 정신보건센터의 네트워크 활동 강화를 위해 사례관리의 현 단계를 진단하고 실천적 함의를 제안하였다.
