Due to the rapid development of IT industry, 'Web' has been wielding great influence upon human life in many ways as a medium. The 'style' in a Web site means a visual impression that the users notice first when they access to the site. In order to build an effective Web site, the web style must be considered as a critical design element, and the style should accelerate the visualization of information such as still images and moving pictures so that human's information processing function can enhance the ability of users' decision-making. Based on the background, this paper seeks to address the ideal style of the web design by researching information both on the internet and papers. Also we tries to define the concept of visual composition for inducing users' imagery. Thus, the conclusion of this paper is to discuss how to give shape to the users' imagery with the ideal Web design style which satisfy the human perception system. We expect that the methodologies achieved in this study would contribute to defining the concept of Web style and being applied more effectively to the Web design in the future.

IT 산업의 발전으로 인해 ‘웹’ 이라는 매체는 우리의 일상생활에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 웹 사이트에서 의 스타일은 사용자들이 사이트를 방문하였을 때 가장 먼저 느끼는 시각적 스타일이다. 보다 효과적인 웹 사이트의 구축은 웹 스타일의 구현이 사용자들에게 있어 중요한 디자인 요소가 되어야 하며 웹 디자인의 스타일로 인해 그림이나 영상과 같은 정보의 시각화가 가속되어 인간의 정보처리 기능이 사용자들의 의사 결정에 있어 작용을 증대시켜야 한다. 이러한 배경을 바탕으로 본 연구는 이상적인 웹 디자인의 스타일을 찾기 위하여 인터넷 상의 여러 사례들과 연구문헌을 통한 다양한 방법을 모색하였으며, 나아가 사용자의 심상유발을 위한 시각적 구성의 개념까지 정리하고자 하였다. 연구의 결과로는 이상적인 웹 디자인 스타 일이 인간의 인지체계를 충족시키는 형태로 거듭남으로써 향후 이를 활용하여 사용자의 심상을 효과적으 로 이끌어낼 수 있는 몇 가지 방법에 대해 논의하였으며, 본 논문에서 수행된 연구의 방법들이 웹 스타일 의 개념을 보다 명확히 정의하고 향후 보다 효과적으로 활용되어지는 것에서 그 의미를 찾을 수 있을 것 으로 기대한다.
