The purpose of this study is to examine the actual condition of knowledge of skin and skin health care of athletes and college students and provide the basic materials helpful for skin health care of athletes in the future. A total of 415 people from athletes and college students was set as the population and the independent sample t-test and a one-way ANOVA were conducted. Scheffe was applied as a post verification. The results are following: First, the knowledge of skin was statistically significantly higher in college students than in athletes (p <.05). Second, the skin health care of college students was statistically significantly higher in selection and use of cosmetics and form of skin self-care compared with athletes (p <.05). Third, the skin health care based on age of athletes was statistically significantly higher in a group of 19 or less year-old than in a group of 23 or more year-old (p <.01). Fourth, in terms of skin health care based on age of college students, a selection and use of cosmetics (p<.01) and skin care expertise (p<.001) were statistically significantly higher in a group of 23 or more year-old than in a group of 19 or less year-old. The form of skin self-care was statistically significantly higher in a group of 21 - 22 year-old than in a group of 19 or less year-old Fifth, there was no significant difference in skin health care based on the attributes of sports (p <.05).

현대사회에 있어서 신체활동 연구의 주요 탐구과제는 ‘신체활동을 통한 교육’으로부터 ‘인간의 기본적인 움직임’을 목표로 하는 스포츠적인 움직임을 중심으로 한 생명 활동의 개념으로 급속히 변화되고 있는 추세이다. 이러한 환경변화에 대응하기 위하여 본학회는 ‘체육’적인 요소에서 ‘스포츠’적인 요소를 중심으로 한 학문적 정체성을 견고히 하고, 정기적인 학술지 발간과 학술활동을 통해 한국스포츠츠 문화의 발전과 학문적인 발전에 기여하는데 그 목적이 있다.
