This study aims to provide data contributable to enhance the competition potential of decathlon by evaluating and analyzing the versatile running capacities focusing on 100m, 400m, and 1500m running. The subjects were 6 decathlon athletes who were registered in the Korean Amateur for Athletics Federation as of 2009 today and 100m, 400m, and 1500m running were examined as the area and method of measurement. In terms of statistical treatment, each measured data were shown in average±standard deviation. The correlation coefficient was derived to figure out the relationship between the measured data. The significance level was set to be less than 5% (p<0.05). According to the result, there was a significant relationship between the record of 400m running and TPR; however, the correlation between the running record, speed pattern, and anaerobic or aerobic capacity was not acknowledged. Also, the speed pattern and workload given to the hip flexor were correlated according to the 400m running, especially, at the end of 25th running. Likewise, the correlations between the running record and the endurance of knee joint tension, and later tension at the end of 25th running was significant according to the 1500m running.
