Recent youth, women, adults in crime in general poakseong, boldness is increased and at a time when the elderly crimes attention is not concentrated not, but old crimes we have not recognized unknowingly growing rapidly, the pattern also been various Can. Especially noticeable is increasing. Future research on elderly prisoners is a crime and the elderly is necessary.

노인범죄문제에 관한 연구들이 사회학, 심리학, 의학, 간호학, 사회복지학에서 여러 분야에서 시도되었으나, 요즈음에는 행정학, 범죄학 노년학 등에서 관심을 가지고 연구에 대한 접근이 시도되고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 노인범죄에 대한 학문적 연구는 사회학 분야에 국한되었었고 미흡하고 단편적이었음을 부인할 수 없다. 지금까지의 노년학연구는 범죄학과는 관계없는 학문으로서 대부분의 노년학 연구자는 노인을 피해자, 약자로서의 수혜나 보호적인 측면에 맞추어 노인의 빈곤, 건강, 소득, 의료, 주택, 교육, 여가 등등에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어지고 있지 않는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 노인을 가해자의 위치에 두고 노인범죄를 접근하는 것이다. 최근 청소년, 여성, 장년의 범죄가 전반적으로 포악성, 대담성이 증가되어지고 있는 이때에 노인범죄는 이목이 집중되지 못하고 있으나 노인의 범죄는 우리가 인식하지 못하는 사이 급격하게 증가하고, 그 양상 또한 다양해지고 있다. 특히 눈에 띄게 증가하고 있다. 향후 노인범죄와 노인수용자에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 본다.
