The renewal or remodeling for pipes with shorter life cycle compared with building has been implementing in apartment building since 1970s in Korea, In general, to evaluate a pipe deterioration by the direct diagnosis a residual thickness of pipe is measured basically and is judged whether evaluated pipes are changed or not after assuming a residual life and erosion, etc., but the calculation method for estimated residual life is different by research literatures and the decision standard by the evaluation factors of the pipe deterioration is not established correctly in Korea. Through this research, the calculation formula of estimated residual life considering the necessary minimum thickness for pipe pressure is organized and evaluation factors and decision standard of pipe deterioration for diagnosis methods by pipe sample and ultrasonic thickness meter is established through examining related papers of Korea and Japan. These results are applied to apartment building based on residual thickness measurement of water supply and fire hydrant pipes.

배관의 노후도를 평가하기 위해서는 기본적으로 배관의 잔존두께가 측정되어야 하며, 이를 바탕으로 배관의 침식율 및 잔존수명 등을 추정한 후 측정관의 교체여부를 최종 판단한다. 그러나 국내의 경우 추정잔존수명의 산출방식에 대해서는 연구문헌에 따라 차이가 있으며, 배관의 교체 여부를 결정하기 위한 평가항목별 판정기준이 설정되어 있지 않아 이에 대한 개선이 필요한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존 국내외 관련 문헌의 검토를 통해 배관의 노후도 판정을 위한 추정잔존수명의 산출방식 및 평가기준을 설정하고, 공동주택을 대상으로 현장측정을 통해 이를 적용해 봄으로서 배관 노후도 평가를 위한 기초자료로 제시하고자 한다.
