This paper attempts to reformulate the post keynesian economics from a gender-aware perspective and explores the relationship between gender economics and post keynesian economics. Gender economics is a fields that includes both studies of gender roles in the economy from a alternative perspective and critical work directed at biases in the economics discipline. Post keynesian economics refers to the scholarship inspired by the work of Keynes and Kalecki. The major components of post keynesian economics are uncertainty, historic time, the construction of price, reject the notions of equilibrium and endogenous money. The rest of this entry to assesses the foundations of post keynesian economics to determine wether an explicitly gender-aware post keynesian economics is possible. The analysis is based on a post keynesian two sector model by Akram-Lodhi and Hanmer(2008) inspired by FitxGerald, E.V.K. (1993), which allows for gender-aware post keynesian macroeconomics.

본 연구는 ‘성인지적(gender-aware)’ 포스트 케인지언 경제학의 정립 가능성을 타진하기 위해 이루어졌다. 현재 젠더(gender) 개념은 경제와 사회를 이해하는 중요한 잣대로 받아들여져서 경제학 분과 분야에 활발히 적용되고 있다. 그러나 젠더의 문제에는 주류 경제학의 합리적 경제인 가설이나 시장의 수요공급의 균형으로는 설명되지 못하는 부분이 있다. 이러한 부분을 해명해줄 대안으로 포스트 케인지언 경제학의 불확실성 개념이나 역사적 시간 및 사회적 관계 속의 경제주체, 특히 경로의존성 등의 개념은 유용한 시사점을 제공한다. 이러한 연구 배경에 입각해서 젠더 개념을 담을 가능성을 포스트 케인지언 경제학에서 찾아내는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 분석의 순서는 다음과 같다. 먼저 젠더 경제학과 포스트 케인지언 경제학의 기본 특징을 살펴보고 두 경제학 조류의 방법론을 비교분석한다. 다음으로 미시적 범주와 거시적 범주에서 포스트 케인지언 경제학과 젠더 경제학의 접점을 선행연구들을 통해 확인하다. 마지막으로 성인지적 거시경제 모델의 사례인 Akram-Lodhi and Hanmer(2008)의 포스트 케인지언 2부문 모델을 소개하고, 이를 통해 성인지적 포스트 케인지언 경제학의 가능성을 타진한다. 마지막으로 연구를 요약하고 함의와 한계를 제시한다.
