This research is looking for the private security industry and diagnostic issues and
enable our strategy will be presented through SWOT analysis for the management
environment of private security industry to ultimately contribute to the private
security industry. Along, the purpose of this research is to want to reach key factors which affect the competitiveness of the private security industry.
This study was to conduct literature research and surveys. And analyzing literature
and data was collected. And determined the status of private security industry by
conducted a comprehensive survey with 13 experts is causal.
The question investigation hemisphere the question which harmonizes became
accomplished in the center. Like this question analyzed the opinion of the identical
research participant and 3 times was executed repetitively, and 2 to verify the data
through multiple data as a basis for the SWOT analysis of the environment.
Accordingly, the following conclusion emerges.
First, the private security industry-related legislation will complement the
systematic. This is the task of the public security authority and the relationship will
be in the direction for improvement.
Second, to develop strategies for diversification of products and services through
the use of IT. This business what development security services and products based on IT advanced technology can provide a solution to maximize profits to large security companies and to all of the small companies.
Third, it should seek ways to make exports that social safety net project based
on security technology and capital of Kore for other Asian countries or developing
countries in the world.

본 연구는 민간경비의 활성화 방향을 모색하고 궁극적으로 민간경비의 바람직한 서비스
개선에 기여하기 위하여 민간경비 산업의 경영환경(SWOT)분석을 통하여 현안을 진단하고
활성화전략을 제시하고자 한다.
이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내 민간경비 산업의 경영환경 분석에 관한 문헌조
사와 설문조사를 실시하였다. 즉, 관련분야 문헌 및 자료를 수집⋅정리⋅분석하였으며, 전문가
13인과 함께 설문을 실시하여 민간경비산업의 현황을 파악하였다.
설문조사는 반구조화된 질문을 중심으로 이루어졌다. 이러한 설문은 동일 연구 참여자의
의견을 분석하면서 3차례 반복적으로 실시되었다. 이들 설문자료를 분석한 결과와 문헌자료
및 기타 2차 자료를 다각적 검증을 통하여 SWOT 환경분석을 위한 기초자료로 활용하였다.
이에 따라 도출된 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 민간경비 산업관련 법제를 체계적으로 보완한다. 이는 공경비와의 업무권한 및 관계를 개선하는 방향으로 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 국가공인 자격제를 명확히 하여 보안업체 시장 내에서 소비자로부터 신뢰도를 향상시켜야 한다.
둘째, IT 기술의 적극 활용을 통한 시장의 다각화 전략 수립이다. IT 첨단기술을 기반으로한 보안서비스 상품의 지속적인 개발은 대형보안업체 및 중․소형 업체 모두에게 사업적 시장성과 이윤을 극대화 하는데 해결책을 제시할 수 있다.
셋째, 국내의 보안기술과 자본력을 바탕으로 아시아 및 개발도상국에 사회안전망 기반구축
사업을 수출하는 방안을 모색한다. 이로써 국내 시장경쟁을 완화하고, 국가경쟁력을 향상시키는데 일조하는 민간경비 산업의 면모를 갖춘다.
