The shift of modern society has brought a change to the form of family, and the number of broken families is gradually on the rise. The phenomenon gives a change to the form of daycare as well, being concurrent with social problems.The purpose of this study was to observe the conflict situations of children from broken families in daycare centers and the roles of daycare centers in an attempt to get a grip on the difficulties of children from broken families and help create quality daycare environments.For children from broken families, a daycare center should function as 'family.' Therefore daycare centers should prepare good educational environments and provide education in a systematic and flexible manner.Those children are usually unable to build an amicable relationship with their peers due to their family problems, and they are consequently faced with lots of conflict situations. Teachers should provide careful care to them with deep concern, try to improve their emotional stability and teach them to fit in with their peers.Daycare centers should direct their energy into helping children from broken families to make a sound emotional and physical growth to become a full-fledged member of society.

현대사회의 변화에 따라 가정의 형태에도 변화를 가져왔으며, 그중 결손가정의 수가 점점 증가하고 있다. 이는 보육의 형태에도 변화를 주었으며 사회적 문제를 야기하고 있다. 본 연구는 보육시설에서 결손가정의 아동들이 느끼는 갈등상황과 보육시설의 역할을 관찰함으로써 결손가정 아동들의 어려움을 이해하고 보다 질 높은 보육환경을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 결과 결손가정의 아동들에게 있어 보육시설은 ‘가정’으로서의 기능을 해야 하므로 교육환경이나 교육내용에 있어서 보다 계획적이고 유연하게 이루어져야 한다. 또한, 결손가정 아동들은 가정의 결손으로 인해 원만한 또래관계 형성이 미숙하므로 갈등상황이 많이 발생한다. 그러므로 아동에 대한 교사의 많은 관심과 노력이 요구되며, 보육시설에서 정서적으로 안정감을 갖고 원만한 또래관계를 형성할 수 있도록 지도해야 한다.결손가정의 아동들에게 있어서 보육시설은 정서적으로나 신체적으로 건강하게 성장하여 사회에 나아가 훌륭한 인격체로서 자리 잡는데 큰 역할을 해야 한다.
