This study is aiming to analyze of descriptive peculiarities of the high school textbooks regarding Korea-Japan cultural exchange in ancient times in the textbook which is using the 7th educational course of study and groped for desirable direction of description. Through this study, the research worker could confirmed the limits that the Korean history text books describe the Korean culture's contribution to the ancient Japanese cultures on the basis of preferential stand point. The Japanese history textbooks also describe on the basis of their cultural superiority. However, ancient Korea-Japan relations were formed of exchange with the military support
of Japan and advanced culture of three countries in the Korean peninsula. That is to say, the cultural exchange in ancient times between Korea and Japan was the result of mutual interest by the realistic necessity. Based on this fact, the research worker would like to make an offer that the description of cultural exchange between Korea and Japan in ancient times in the new history text books should be approached with the political background as well as from the East Asian countries level inclusive of China.

    본 교과교육연구소는 국어교육학, 영어교육학, 수학교육학, 지리교육학, 역사교육학, 가정교육학, 체육교육학, 컴퓨터교육학, 과학교육학 등 교과교육관련 제반 연구를 수행하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구소는 교과별 교과교육학의 이론적인 배경을 연구함과 동시에 이러한 이론의 실제적인 적용에 중점을 두며, 정부 산하 연구기관 및 교육관련기관과 공동 연구를 추진한다. 또한 교과간의 공동연구에 새로운 장을 열어 21세기에 부응하는 우리나라 교과교육의 선도적인 역할을 하고자 한다. 본 연구소는 2002년 10월 08일에 창립되었다. 사범대학의 창립이 1973년이므로 교과교육연구소의 설립은 사범대학이 세워진 지 약 30년만의 일로써, 교육이론중심에서 교육실행중심으로의 사범교육의 패러다임 이동 및 시대적 변화상을 반영하고 있다
